Scarlett DreamCoats designer Jane Given and her husband adopted Ceara, a beautiful brindle greyhound, in January 2005. Because greyhounds aren't equipped naturally to brave the elements, Ceara needed winter wear to keep her warm. Jane unsuccessfully looked for a coat that was both practical and stylish … in keeping with Ceara’s place as a true member of the family.

So Jane took matters into her own hands, tapped into her artistic leanings and her love of colors, fabrics and textures and began designing fashionable, functional coats for canines.

For several years, her design pursuits came second to her role as a manager in the global package design department of a Fortune 500 company. When her company was acquired by another company, Jane took the opportunity to turn her hobby into a business. The rest is history, as they say, and now Scarlett DreamCoats' customers hail from the USA, Canada, Europe and Asia and represent a diverse spectrum of sizes, shapes and breeds.

The Scarlett DreamCoats line includes LuxeCoats, RainCoats, LightCoats, DreamTotes and HarnessVests – all utilizing rich textures, stunning color combinations and fabulous trims. These coats are the finest in canine couture so that you can wrap your best friend in style as well as love.

All Scarlett DreamCoats are proudly made in the USA. A portion of sales is donated to Greyhound Adoption Services, a non-profit humane organization dedicated to finding loving, responsible homes for retired racing greyhounds.
